Beady Eye was founded in 2009 by Artistic Director, Kristin Fredricksson. It is a UK based structure for local and international collaborators to create innovative contemporary theatre and performance projects.
We are committed to daring, moving, surprising, to telling big stories and little ones, to poetry, listening, collaboration and to bright visions. We will use anything we need to make our work and anything we use will be treated with respect.
We are passionate about passing on and discovering new skills through education and training projects, working with a broad range of communities. We want to create links, conversations, collaborations, arguments and friendships.
The launch project of Beady Eye, , won the Total Theatre Award for devised performance and the Arches Brick Award at the Edinburgh Festival in 2009. It is touring nationally and internationally in 2010, including a two week run at the Barbican in June. ON NOW AT BARBICAN TIL 26 JUNE -
Beady Eye founder, Kristin Fredricksson, returned to the UK in 2008 after fifteen years work in France, Portugal and Japan as a performer and theatre-maker. She trained with Jacques Lecoq in the mid-90s and went on to work with many innovative companies and practitioners such as Cie AMK, Alain Gautré, Teatro Bruto, Akiko Motofuji, Peepolykus, Ken Campbell and Mark Whitelaw.
Her work as an independent artist in France has been supported by Espace Périphérique (La Villette), Graines de Soleil/le Lavoir Modern Parisien and la Nef - Manufactures d'Utopies.
Beady Eye is a supported artist at the Basement in Brighton and an Associate Company of Theatre Royal Margate.

Beady Eye has won Year One Consulting's SHOW:EDINBURGH which will enable us to do Senior Moments at the Forest Fringe Edinburgh 2010 at 6pm on 20 August.
