Kristin Fredricksson trained with Jacques Lecoq in the 1990s and has since worked as a performer and theatre-maker mainly outside the UK, principally in France, Portugal and Japan with, amongst others, AMK, Alain Gautré, Teatro Bruto and Akiko Motofuji. In Britain she has worked with Peepolykus, Ken Campbell, Mark Whitelaw and others.
Her work as an independent artist in France has been supported by Espace Périphérique (La Villette), Graines de Soleil/le Lavoir Modern Parisien and la Nef à Pantin.
She returned to the UK in 2008 and formed Beady Eye in 2009. ‘Everything Must Go’ is the launch project for this experimental theatre company. It won the Total Theatre Award for devised performance at the Edinburgh Festival in 2009 and was a 'plat du jour' at the Bristish Council showcase. It is touring nationally and internationally in 2010 including a 2 week run at the Barbican, London. This work was made with the support of Kent University Drama Department.
Kristin is is a supported artist at the Basement, Brighton and Beady Eye is Associate Company at Theatre Royal Margate. The company is a member of the Independent Theatre Council and based at Red Dog Studios, Canterbury (supported by Canterbury City Council).
