Maurice, from South Wales will come if he gets back in time.

Bob and Rodney turn up and we talk through the idea with them for about 15 minutes.
Rob and I will be in the wings and will propose tasks for them to do.
The tasks are very simple; walk across the stage, walk on and meet each other,
walk across and stop three times etc. A kind of live choreography.

They are brilliant and both they and the audience seem to have a good time.
They have never been in this situation before. The audience enjoy the liveness.
So do they it seems. They improvise within the structure.
We never quite know what will happen next.

This performance experiment is dedicated to the memory of Bob, the singing dustman, who sadly died earlier this year.

filmed by Alex Scott at Theatre Royal Margate, 17 January 2010
